Celebrate The Small Things - BLITZED!

Posted on December 17, 2015
This post is part of the Celebrate The Small Things blog hop managed by Lexa Cain where we celebrate some of the wonderful things that have happened to us in the past week, no matter how small.

This week was full of surprises.

  • On Tuesday, I was BLITZED by the folks signed up to D.L. Hammons Blog Blitz group. I never expected it. I had a huge smile on my face the whole day as the comments kept coming.
  • I got a ton of feedback on my last Isabel & Leo short, A Game Of Trust, because of the blitz. And to think, I JUST redid the cover and moved the stories back to blogger from wattpad the day before. Talk about perfect timing!
  • A gorgous house cat strolled into my house on Tuesday evening. The temperature had dropped to the mid forties, so I didn't have the heart to toss it out. It's clean, friendly, and seriously adorable. I'm going to hold onto it for a few days and make a real effort at finding its owner. I'm no cat person, so after a few days I'll send it to a no-kill rescue shelter a few towns over or I'll give it away to someone who really wants to care for it. Wish me luck!

Look at that face!

HAPPY FRIDAY!!!

    1. It was a busy week of learning too. I learned a lot about caring for cats, and how to keep my house from smelling like a smelly feline.

  6. Yay for the blitz and the awesome feedback! That cat is adorable and so white. He must be from a real home somewhere. Don't forget to contact vet offices and all shelters in case the real owner called them and told them to keep an eye out for the cat.

    1. I called a couple of local vets and shelters. No luck. But I am on the hunt for a new home. It's going to be hard to give this up to a shelter. My daughter is worried it's going to be killed. You never know with these shelters.

    1. Turns out we all fell in love with the cat, but my son is allergic. So we have to give it up. :-L

  10. Beautiful cat. Someone will take it, for sure. I'm not a cat person, either, so when one wanders onto our porch, I have to find a home for it elsewhere. I always have a dog that disapproves of it even being around temporarily!
