Old Trees
Posted on April 16, 2018
Imagine living for hundreds of years,
Growing older and older by the day.
When trees grow old and lose all of their leaves,
People stop looking their way.

Once full of color and the splendor of youth,
Loved by people, squirrels and bugs.
When trees dry up, we want to chop them down…
Instead, why not give them a hug?

  1. Hooray for old trees! Some old trees are quite striking, and especially stand out if barren when all other trees are leafy. I like trees like that. I feel like they have a story in them.
