Celebrate The Small Things - Feeling Busy
Posted on July 3, 2015

Have I ever mentioned how much I love the Celebrate The Small Things blog hop? I love it. By it's definitions, you have to look back at your past week and celebrate your accomplishments. And, if it was a tough week, you celebrate surviving it.

This week was a busy one. Here are my celebrations:
  • Started renovations on the 2nd floor of my house, down to the beams, including a bathroom renovation. Finally! It's been on the to-do list for a long while. The house is a bleeping mess, and I've cleaned more in 4 days than I normally do in a month, but whatever...
  • Co-hosted IWSG for July, and wrote about two authors who I think totally rock. It was so much fun to write up about the authors that I think I might include an indie author highlight in each IWSG post.
  • Finally got my novel, The Box Of Souls, Amazon, B&N, Kobo, and a couple of other places. Smashwords distribution takes a while. Going to send out an updater email and post next week.

AND.... drum roll please....

Today, July 3rd 2015, is my 40th Birthday!

It will be a very relaxing, low-key weekend for me and the family, but, as usual, the United States of America will celebrate my birthday with a show of fireworks at many major cities. Look to your local tv listing and newspapers for more info on that. :-D

Have a great 4th of July weekend everyone!

  4. Happy birthday! That's great about your book releasing soon and the renovations. I've been doing a lot of cleaning this summer and would like a remodel in the future.

    1. That's how it starts. First you need a shelf. Then a bookcase. Then the room is suddenly not big enough, and the 50-year-old outlets are burning out, and the 100-year-old plaster walls are cracking and then, before you know it, you're planning a room remodel. It's a domino effect...

  6. Happy Birthday!! Yep, those fireworks shows are just for you. ;)

The renovation sounds like a bit of a headache, but I'm sure it will look wonderful when it's all done. Good luck! :)

    1. The renovations ARE a headache, but I knew what to expect. And, luckily, the kids are around to help me keep things clean... sort of. :-D
