Have I ever mentioned how much I love the Celebrate The Small Things blog hop? I love it. By it's definitions, you have to look back at your past week and celebrate your accomplishments. And, if it was a tough week, you celebrate surviving it.
This week was a busy one. Here are my celebrations:
- Started renovations on the 2nd floor of my house, down to the beams, including a bathroom renovation. Finally! It's been on the to-do list for a long while. The house is a bleeping mess, and I've cleaned more in 4 days than I normally do in a month, but whatever...
- Co-hosted IWSG for July, and wrote about two authors who I think totally rock. It was so much fun to write up about the authors that I think I might include an indie author highlight in each IWSG post.
- Finally got my novel, The Box Of Souls, Amazon, B&N, Kobo, and a couple of other places. Smashwords distribution takes a while. Going to send out an updater email and post next week.
AND.... drum roll please....

Today, July 3rd 2015, is my 40th Birthday!

It will be a very relaxing, low-key weekend for me and the family, but, as usual, the United States of America will celebrate my birthday with a show of fireworks at many major cities. Look to your local tv listing and newspapers for more info on that. :-D
Have a great 4th of July weekend everyone!

Happy birthday, and happy Independence Day. Congrats on getting the book out there and working on the house.

Working through the electrical outages have been fun, but at least I got it all out there. Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteYou've bee busy, but it seems like a happy kind of busy. Happy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteMarilyn, it's definitely a good kind of busy :-D
DeleteHappy Birthday! And tons of things to celebrate too. What a great week!
ReplyDeleteThanks Tonja! :-D
DeleteHappy birthday! That's great about your book releasing soon and the renovations. I've been doing a lot of cleaning this summer and would like a remodel in the future.
ReplyDeleteThat's how it starts. First you need a shelf. Then a bookcase. Then the room is suddenly not big enough, and the 50-year-old outlets are burning out, and the 100-year-old plaster walls are cracking and then, before you know it, you're planning a room remodel. It's a domino effect...
DeleteHappy Birthday! So exciting to have your book out there.
ReplyDeleteIt sure is, Shannon. Happy 4th of July!!!
DeleteHappy Birthday!! Yep, those fireworks shows are just for you. ;)
ReplyDeleteThe renovation sounds like a bit of a headache, but I'm sure it will look wonderful when it's all done. Good luck! :)
The renovations ARE a headache, but I knew what to expect. And, luckily, the kids are around to help me keep things clean... sort of. :-D
